Rick, aka Julio, was born to Sandra and Deloen Severson and lived in Arlington. He grew up on their farm milking cows and planting fields. He went to LATI for Diesel Tech, but his life long career was welding. He built race cars for Dirt Track Supply in Watertown for many years. He had one daughter of his own and two step children that he loved dearly. Rick had his own welding shop that so many people loved to stop down just to chat with him. He had a vast knowledge of welding techniques and anything with an engine. His shop dogs Leeah and Tank were his second babies and were always by his side. If he wasn't at the shop, you could always find him at his favorite gas station having coffee with his buddies.
Rick had quite a few health issues and recently started dialysis in Yankton. He stayed with his daughter Heather and her family. His grandson Milo was his pride and joy and he loved spending time with him.
He is survived by his grandmother Ferne Liebsch of Arlington, SD; his mother Sandra Severson of Sioux Falls, SD; his sister Wendy (Todd) Schreter of Harrisburg,SD; his daughter Heather Stucky and her husband Chris Stucky of Yankton, SD; and his grandson Milo Stucky.
