Richard D. Beynon

Richard “Rich” D. Beynon, age 56, of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Private family services will be held officiated by Pastor Steve Biswell.

A public visitation will be at the American Legion in Watertown, SD, on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown, SD.

Rich was born on May 24, 1965, in Vancouver, WA, to Robert and Gisela (Jurkowitz) Beynon.  He attended grade school in Vancouver and then attained his GED.  In his early years, Rich married Susan Pickeral.  On June 18, 2015, Rich married Cheryl Tefft in Elk Point, SD.  The couple made their home in Sioux Falls, SD.  He worked in maintenance for the duration of his life.

Rich enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing.  He took pride in polishing his trucks and loved to test his luck gambling at different casinos.  Rich and Cheryl loved going thrifting and finding treasures at second-hand stores.  His pride and joy was his cat, MooMoo.

Rich is survived by his wife, Cheryl of Sioux Falls, SD; his brother, Rocky (Brenda) Beynon of Clark, SD; his father, Robert Beynon of Watertown, SD; four sisters: Theresa (Mike) Bisenius of Washington State, Tammy Callahan (Fred Meyer) of Watertown, SD, Kathleen (Mark) Ribble of Vancouver, WA, and Sandy (Jr.) Morretti of Gilroy, CA; his niece, Renae (Larry) Bachman; his nephew, Danny Callahan; his great niece, Samantha Callahan; great nephews, Joe and Josh; his great-great niece, Jolaina; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

Rich was preceded in death by his mother, Gisela, and an infant brother, Leroy.
