Jason R. Jensen, age 40, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 in rural Madison, SD. A Celebration of Life will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021, at the Hazel Community Center in Hazel, SD.
Jason was born on October, 20, 1981, in Fargo, ND, to Jeff Jensen and Tammy Bruner. He received his GED from Job Corps in Rapid City, SD, in 2006. He continued his education at Lake Area Technical College in Watertown, and graduated with a degree in Computer Networking. Jason lived most of his life in Sioux Falls, SD, and Watertown. He owned his own business, Big and Small Construction, and was the only certified window installer in the state of South Dakota.
Jason will be fondly remembered for his kind and compassionate spirit, huge heart, and bold personality. He was fun and outgoing, the family jokester. His favorite holiday was the 4th of July, and without a doubt, he always had the biggest fireworks display. Jason had a love for the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. His greatest love was his children, Jeffrey and Kaydince, they were his world.
Jason is survived by his children, Jeffrey and Kaydince; his father, Jeff (RaNae) Jensen of Hazel, SD; his mother, Tammy (Ken) Anderson of Bryant, SD; two sisters: Jennifer (Cole) Jensen of Bryant, SD, and Jessica (Justin) Walker of Watertown, SD; three step-brothers: Nathan Schussler of Rapid City, SD, Tim Schussler of Watertown, SD, and Brian Withers of Watertown, SD; one step-sister, Niki (Jordan Raml) Schussler of Watertown, SD; his former wife, Ashley Jensen, and her children: Caitlynn, Kierra, and twin boys, Jordan and James.
