Connie R. Hartley

Connie R. Hartley, age 68, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel. Rev. Steve Anderson will officiate. The family is requested to meet at the chapel by 2:30 p.m. for a family prayer service.

Visitation will be at the funeral chapel on Friday from 5-7 p.m.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lance Swenson, Tad Heaton, Sean Rue, Dan Fjerstad, Jamey Fjerstad and Jason Maynard.

Connie was born on October 1, 1953, to Ernest and Georgean (Niehus) Pesicka, Sr., in Wagner, SD. She was a 1971 graduate of Bristol High School and from Watertown Business University in 1972. Connie married Bruce Antijunti in Watertown in 1972. She worked at Gustafson Construction and later at Trimble Eyecare. On July 23, 1994, she was united in marriage to Rick Hartley in Watertown. She then started working as the Clerk of Courts for Codington County, where she was currently employed for over twenty years.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Connie loved her time with her family. She enjoyed her flower garden and fishing with Rick. She also enjoyed cooking, family gatherings and traveling. 

Connie is survived by her husband, Rick, of Watertown, SD; her children: Bruce (Karen) Antijunti of Watertown, SD, Brock (Diana Chord) Antijunti of Pierre, SD and Brandi Kappenman of Harrisburg, SD; eight grandchildren: Briana, Brody, and Matias Antijunti, Tavia and JayCeon Camon, Kane Armstead, and Kayley and Josie Nelson; two great-grandchildren, Braxton Sowards and Lydia Heald; two brothers, Randy (Kathy) Pesicka of Rapid City, SD and Ernie Pesicka, Jr. of Springfield, IL; three sisters: Cindy (Virgil) Mack of Kranzburg, SD, Roxy (Ron) Howe of Wentworth, SD and Twyla (Rob) Fjerstad of Watertown, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Dennis; and her sisters, Susie Bertsch, Gaylene Pesicka and Rhonda Ohman.
