Charlotte was born on July 14, 1932 in Watertown, SD to Robert and Thilda (Rund) Danielson.  She was baptized and confirmed at New Hope Lutheran Church.  She attended Rural Opdahl School #1 until 8th grade, then graduated from Hayti High School in 1950.  Following graduation from General Beadle College in Madison, she taught two years of grade school in Watertown and then a year at Hayti.

On June 21, 1954, Charlotte married her high school sweetheart, Clayton W. Larson at New Hope Lutheran Church in rural Hayti.  She was a lifetime member of New Hope Lutheran Church, where her grandfather Ole Danielson was one of the original founders.  She was also an active member of Church Ladies Aide, Codington/Hamlin Farm Bureau, Merry Mixers Extension Club and Quilting Ladies of New Hope (many of their quilts were donated to world relief).

Besides being a wonderful mother and homemaker she was a farmer as well;  Milking cows, tending livestock, operating equipment…she especially enjoyed the serenity of nature - the clouds, the flocks of birds, the beautiful skies while by herself in the fields.  In her “free” time, she enjoyed her flower garden, reading , family history, antique glass, attending flea markets, traveling on a whim, and threshing bees.  Charlotte lovingly sewed a cherished quilt for each grandchild.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Charlotte is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren;  daughter Joan (Kevin) Stormo, Jason (Sherri), Chase, Taylor, Kolbi, & Riley; Damon (Stacey), Evan, Jack, Paige, & Will;  Ryan (Tiffany), Rupert, Burk, Messur, & Bruce;  Shannon (Josh Symens), Marnie, & Ryker; son Steven (Rhonda), Sandra (Tim Scotting), Drake; Christi (Jay Rosenlund), Devan, Reuben, Greyson, Maverick, Paisley, Tanley, Jettson, Kale, Indie, Issac, & Hayes, Kelli (Ethan Byers);  daughter Kay (Steve Jorenby), Justin Benthin (Tracy), Brooklyn, Bella, & Lincoln; Jolynn (Mike Jensen), Kasen & Kollyns, Jeremy Benthin;  daughter Lori (Brett Sumner), Cody (Lisa), Peyton, Stetson, & Ireland; Tara (Anthony Vojta); son Paul; son Scott (Leigh Anne), Kerri (Bryan Homan), Katie (Jake Homer), Callan, & Zoey; Riley Bietz (Michelle), Mallory, Mason, Nova, & Colt; Bailey (Kyle Schulz); son Brent (Nikki), Aireal (Austin Bruns), Jaxton & Emytt; Billy, Killian, & Artemus.  Her brother Charles (Judy) Danielson, sister Helen Prouty, sister-in-laws,  Elaine Corey & Pat Larson; & several nieces and nephews.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband Clayton, her parents Robert and Thilda Danielson, & several in-laws.
