Buckie Huehl Obituary
Buckie A. Huehl, age 84, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Avantara in Clark, SD. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
Buckie was born June 3, 1938, in Ft. Pierre, SD, to Raymond and Dorothy (Urquhart) Huehl. He attended school in Ft. Pierre, SD and entered the US Army serving time in Paris.
Buckie married Betty Schlaak in Pierre, SD and on January 20, 1980, Buckie married Joy L. Edinger in Highmore, SD. Buckie started working in construction and doing carpentry, and later moved to Watertown, SD where he continued to do carpentry and construction in the area. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, tinkering with construction projects and stuff around his home. He enjoyed his time with is pets. Joy proceeded January 29, 2022 and he continued to make his home in Watertown.
Buckie is survived by his daughter, Abby Huehl (Derek Crocker), of Watertown, SD; two sons, Kurt (Jennifer) Huehl, of Huron, SD, Scott Huehl, Watertown, SD; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lowetta Allen, Rapid City, SD.
Buckie is preceded in death by his wife Joy, his parents, two brothers, Lloyd and Dennis Huehl and three sons; Shad, Troy and Andrew Huehl
